Peter Wohl is the director of Moosis Ecospiritual Journeys. Born and raised in New York City, Peter spent most of his adult life in northern New England, where he developed a deep, enduring love of the outdoors. Over the years he has hiked, biked, canoed, cross-country skied, and snowshoed across much of the northeastern U.S. This passion, coupled with insights he has gained on the philosophical similarities between ecospirituality and the Deep Ecology movement, led to the development of Moosis Ecospiritual Journeys.
He is a Registered Maine Guide and a teacher in the White Plum lineage of Soto Zen. He serves as a guiding teacher of Treetop Zen Center in Oakland, Maine.
For more than two decades he has worked in the fields of addiction and mental health treatment. He is currently the Director of the Treetop Women’s Recovery House in Oakland, Maine.
